Was excited to find a Black Owned bakery, during our visit to Charlotte. We found Alexandra’s and were pleased with the items we selected. We had the caramel cake, the peach cinnamon roll and the iced pound cake. All were very tasty. Only critique was the peach cinnamon roll had a few too many peaches for my liking. The picture included doesn’t do the items justice, as they shifted during travel.

We finished dinner a little after 9 and Google searched a bakery and found this spot about 2 minutes down the road. When we walked in, 10 minutes before closing, we were greeted by the friendliest, kindest, most energetic woman. We were offered a few samples, which is super nice, and we're all delicious. We ended up getting a few different pastries and some homemade strawberry ice cream - which is the best I've had in my entire life. Sure, you are going to pay a little more than you would at the grocery, but you are paying for pastries that are made in house - from people who love what they do - and we need to continue to support our local small businesses. We already can't wait to go back and try more things!!

I pre-ordered via online Alexandra's roasted strawberry cake/ triple-layer vanilla cake and it was absolutely delicious! Very flavorful, not too sweet, hint of lemon in the frosting. Great summer cake. It was loaf shaped, so it was very easy to cut. Got 10 nice equal portions. Everyone in our party RAVED about the cake. Cake was ready when I arrived at her bakery, and it was nicely packaged. Other baked goods available at her store, so I purchased an oatmeal raisin and peanut butter cookie. both cookies were, again, very flavorful and also appropriately soft. The oatmeal raisin cookie was the best one I've ever eaten hands down. If you're in the SE Charlotte, Matthews area, highly recommend Alexandra's Bakery.

We just moved to the area and are in TROUBLE!! This little bakery is run by a woman who is truly made out of sugar! We got a cheesecake, a cookie and a marshmallow treat. All were 10/10! Great service and great treats, bring on the extra pounds !

I love the that this bakery has many different varieties of sweets to choose from. The gourmet popcorn was really good. We actually came back and purchased another bag. The pumpkin cheesecake I had to wait for it to unthaw. When it unthawed the pumpkin flavor overpowered the cheesecake. I was expecting it to be sweeter. The lady who was there was beautiful inside and out. She gave excellent customer service. Great atmosphere. The prices were fine. I will definitely come back and try other desserts.
